  • Performed with several venues: Science Museum of St. Paul, Alan Page Gala, various wedding venues, church conferences, the University of St. Thomas, Tinto’s Restaurant, and Tillie’s Farmhouse.

What was your first gig?
Playing at an event for the University of St. Thomas.

Favorite Walker West memory/experience?
Being a student and playing with the jazz band.

Oscar Peterson, Duke Ellington, Frederic Chopin, Aaron Lindsy, Kurt Carr, Kirk Franklin, Snarky Puppy, Cory Henry, Hans Zimmer, and Quincy Jones.

Why is music education so important?
Music education is important because it gives students the opportunity to learn how to express themselves in different ways. It also helps students tap into creativity.

Advice to young musicians?
Never stop learning, especially when something is hard. Believe in yourself and you will be able to do whatever you can envision.
